About the Commission

The Caldwell County Historical Commission is an official county agency established under the Texas Local Government Code. The commission works to identify, record, and preserve the historical and cultural resources of Caldwell County.

The commission coordinates with the Texas Historical Commission to nominate sites to the National Register of Historic Places, place historical markers, and protect significant local landmarks.
